'Building together for Ourselves'

This 'living/housing' project from the non-profit association, Vrouwen Nu-voor-Later, will be organizing a series of brunches/workshops entitled: 'Building together for Ourselves'.

The idea behind these afternoons is to exchange ideas, information and know-how regarding setting up a living/housing group for 80 to 100 apartments for lesbian 50+ women and at the same time use the lunch and cocktail time as an opportunity to get to know one another better.

The following Sunday afternoons have been planned:
29 March - Marijke van Ooijen, a practical story about the realization of the livingproject 'De Kasko' in Utrecht. From the birth of the idea up to the realization of the new building.
10 May - Hennie Wasmoeth from the Housing Association, Het Oosten, will be sharing her knowledge with us with respect to the term 'casco' (shell) construction and the division of responsibility between the future residents and the corporation with respect to development, management and ownership.
21 June - a representative from the Housing Association, Gelderland, will be speaking about how the residents themselves set up this association and the advantages of such a project.

Another three brunches are planned after the summer holidays. The dates and the programs for these afternoons will be available around mid June.

The brunches will be held in the Vrouwenhuis, Nwe Herengracht 95, 1011 RX Amsterdam (from the Central Train Station take trams 7, 9, 14 or 20 or the metro, near the Hortus).
Entrance (including lunch) Fl 12,50 voor members, Fl 15,00 voor non-members and '10' (non-active) members.

12.30 - 14.00 speakers and discussion
14.00 - 15.00 brunch
15.00 - 17.00 discussion and cocktails
